and you feel a chill twist up your spine,
run before she casts a spell:

Old and green and far from good 
this evil enchantress will make you scream -
observing under tattered hood
her yellow eyes that plot and scheme.

Lords Kass and Darigan owe her thanks - 
her hexes helped their rise to power.
Her potions fortified their ranks;
on Meridell she rained a Nova shower.

To King Skarl she sent her daughter to dance,
to hypnotise him and ensnare his land.
Yet though Kass’ army did advance,
things did not go quite as planned.

Where is Morguss now that the war is over,
and what were the motives behind her work?
No one is sure, but the darkness knows her -
so mind the things that move in the murk.

Moehog Chef Outfit

The Hat upon his lofty brow
Is tall, commanding, white.
It emphasizes his high rank,

Is also white and crisp,
With dark red buttons on its front,
And red hems at each wrist.

The Pants are simply dark brown cloth,
To camouflage grease stains.
They’re handy and dependable,
Despite their looks so plain.

The Shoes he wears are sturdy things,
And slip-resistant too.
His kitchen floor is always wet.
He needs them through and through.

And finally, the Neckerchief
He wears around his neck
Is such a striking scarlet hue
And keeps his sweat in check.

The Moehog Chef commands his crew
With expertise and skill!
He guides them with a forceful mind,
And such decisive will!

The Unpopular Moehog

"Not a Moehog, there's better choices",
I have heard this from too many voices.
The Neopian Pound is what I call home,
And I just feel so alone.

With Ixi's and Aisha's galore I'm a Moehog no one wants to see,
Whoever is next in line is definitely not after me.
I hear footsteps near and my pen door opens,
"That one right there" they say as if I'm a valuable token.

"We have other Neopets" the scientist screams loud,
"I want this one" my new owner exclaims proud.
I look with a grin at my new owner above,
Because all I ever wanted was to be loved.

I'm happy now and it's been so long,
Since I was created and told I was wrong.
I feel sorry for the other Moehugs struggling,
It really is rather troubling.

Please don't judge us by our covers,
There's more to us that you'll discover.
We're loyal and loving and need homes too,
Just imagine if it were you in our hooves.

Morguss’ Threat

The Moehog as a species is very kind,
Though a few bad apples spring to mind.
My favourite, Morguss, is a cunning old witch.
She made powerful potions and knew how to stitch.

She stitched up a small doll of King Skarl
And used a pin to make him snarl.
She worked for Lord Darigan then for Lord Kass.
An opportunity to take over Meridell she could not pass.

Her biggest achievement was hypnotizing the king
By a magical dance performed by her darling offspring.
But her attempt to take over was not enough
For the Neopians of Meridell were far too tough.

But don’t count her out, not just yet!
She may have disappeared, but can still be a threat.
She is has more power than the strongest typhoon
And she promised to return, but I hope not too soon.

Who's that Blue Moehog superhero that everyone's been talking about on Moehog Day?
It is I, Judge Hog, that's who... with massive strength and power greater than the hottest sun ray.
I am the leader of a small group of heroes called the Defenders of Neopia and we dedicate our lives to stop villainy and the forces of evil,
Once the evildoers are caught, justice will be served without reprieval.

I may be stern in appearance and serious about saving others,
But that doesn't mean I have enough help to get the job done... you can help me too, my sisters and brothers.
I have a special place in my heart for Neopians who are brave enough to stand up against evil, so...

Ode to the Mutant Moehog

In the farmlands of Meridell
  amongst the furrows and fields
Between the cornstalks
  that are grown for high-yield
You may find hidden beneath 
  the dappled stalks and leaves
A Moehog quite camouflaged
  and usually fast asleep

If the land has been planted
  in "three-sisters" style
With beans climbing up cornstalks
  and marrow sprawling below in a pile
Peek under the large leaves
  and in a short while
I'm sure you will find a sight
  that will bring you a smile

The young marrows are green
  with stripes on their skin
Some are quite bulbous
  while others are thin
All in all when you think about it
  they look quite akin
To the Mutant Moehog 
  that is napping within

Just like the flowers 
  that grow on the plant
The mane of the Moehog,
  though the hair may be scant,
Is orange and wispy
  and grows at a slant
When the wind ruffles through
  it leans at a cant

The Mutant Moehog
  is my favourite paint
Of all the 'hog colours
  it's so wholesomely quaint
But we'll celebrate them all
  this fourteenth of May
Because, as you know,
  it's Moehog Day!

The Halloween Moehog

To a Halloween costume party, 
And he had already decided, 
What he was going to be. 

He applied body paint all over, 
To turn his skin an olive shade, 
And wore a billowing black cloak, 
To look like the villain he portrayed. 

He arranged his fur using some mousse, 
To form three tufts of hair on his head,
But he thought his appearance,
Did not invoke enough fear or dread. 

So he gazed into the mirror, 
And practised his evil grin, 
Narrowing his eyes suspiciously, 
To look like he committed a sin. 

Now he was ready for the party,
As he rubbed his hooves eagerly,
Hoping to successfully pull off,
The best version of Sloth he could be.

I waited a full year,
for this special day,

Games are my favourite,
they're always a good time.

First things first, some rides!
The Judge Hog roller coaster,
I've been waiting for that one.
It looks so cool on the poster!

My favourite game is around the corner,
I'm best at the 00 Hog game,
you need to cheat to win,
and always stick with your claim.

I love the Morguss waffle,
definitely THE snack to eat.
I could eat five whole waffles,
a snack you definitely cannot beat.
