Ode to Tyrannia

A land of rocks and giant beasts,
Of omelettes and giant feasts.
Tyrannia is the land of grit;
Neopia’s potent fire pit.

Here the Grarrls roam at will,
And chombies stomp among the hills.
Pteris fly high up overhead,
And unknown beasts fill you with dread.

Be careful when you wander here;
Danger lurks beyond your spear.
Be brave of heart and strong of will,
For there may be a test of skill.

Though there be dangers hiding here,
There’s also fun this time of year.
We celebrate victory each May;
All day long we feast and play.

This is the land of Rock n’ Roll;
Heavy metal soothes our souls.
We gather in our concert hall,
And dance until we faint and fall.

So come and visit if you dare,
Our rocky, craggy hidden lair.
Tyrannia’s by far the best,
So come and be our honoured guest!

Tyrannian Food

Come on down to Tyrannia
For a meal you'll never forget!
With eggs and steaks aplenty,
and don't skip out on the omelette. 

Let's start off with some soup,
There's Pteri, Trumpadon and Bone,
all quite hideous to look at, 
and served in bowls of stone. 

Perhaps a salad is more your style?
We've got Tyrannian and fern and rock.
Each verdant, crispy and green
and rich with the scent of old sock. 

There's legs and wings galore,
theres Mynci and sap on a stick,
You'll find it all in Tyrannian Food
so come and take your pick!

There's oyster and crablett straight from the sea,
there's cactus leaf and blossom from the ground, 
there's even an Archesaurus Tail
unearthed from a burial mound. 

Make sure you stay for dessert,
sweet treats that could break your teeth. 
Sugary doughnuts frosted with strawberry
with a layer of rock beneath. 

If none of the above is appetizing, 
if it doesn't appeal to your pet...
No worries! Just a short walk away 
you'll find a giant omelette.

Dans les pleines sauvages de Tyrannia,
Sur les hauteurs des plateaux reculés
Au coeur d'une abondante vallée,
S’étend un vaste et luxuriant village.

C'est au coeur de ce beau village,
Au loin, par delà le lac, qu'une  mélodie grogne
Parmi les huttes des grands sages,
Une joyeuse cérémonie résonne.

Sur le son des tambours battants,
Tous les Neopets, s'agittent inlassablement,
Fanions et guirlandes colorées, flottent fièrement
dans le ciel parsemé de confettis volant.

C'est une fête qui follement bat son plein
Ici au coeur de cette vallée préhistorique, 
Afin de célébrer cette journée magnifique !
Ou tout le monde réuni, chante, danse et ris.

Chaque maison est animée, Neopets et Petpets,
Oui c'est la fete ! dans tous les coins,

De la libération de Tyrannia sur le mal,

Houve um terremoto na Montanha do Terror,
Que revelou uma terra de grande esplendor,
Tyrannia, um mundo pré-histórico fascinante,
Com Chombies e outras criaturas impressionantes.

Myncha, do Conselho dos Anciões, alertou a nação,
Sobre uma invasão que poderia causar destruição,
Grarrg liderou as tropas do exército tyranniano,
Para proteger a terra e defender seu povo valentão.

Mas uma grande ameaça surgiu,
A monstruosa besta, Monoceraptor, que espalhou o medo,
Parecia invencível e poderosa,
Mas um Lupe Misterioso surgiu para combater a fera horrorosa.

Com coragem e habilidade,
O Lupe lutou bravamente e com muita habilidade,
Até que Monoceraptor foi derrotado,
E a paz e a alegria foram restaurados.

Assim, neste dia de vitória e alegria,
Celebramos a bravura dos heróis com muita energia,
E lembramos com muito carinho,
Dos habitantes de Tyrannia e de seus feitos incríveis e divinos.

An earthquake buried it below.

An Ode to the Tyrannian Elders

When you think of Tyrannia, 
What do you picture?
The Forsaken Five in a scoring mania?
The Obelisk’s strictures?

For all of us zesty enough to remember
The best of the best,
It’s gotta be the brave Council members
We cheer this Tyrannifest! 

We all know brave Myncha’s deeds
Scouting in the war;
His spyglass, keen eyes, and fleeting
Paws could do naught more.

But if it’s his fun pastime, Go!Go!Go!,
That really sets your jaw,
How about the valiant Sabre-X’s show
Of strength (and omelette law)?

Fun pastimes you say? Just go to Plesio!
(Not that dreaded wheel—
This captain of the sea would love if, oh,
A water park were suddenly revealed!

Ugga Bigga I-Ugga, says wise old Tekel,
Who brews, therefore he is;
Whose mysterious potions and potent spells,
We sorely would have missed.

But if wisdom doesn’t excite you, then RAWR!
It’s not some goofy Chia—
Learn how to lift with great Grarrl Grarrg!
A gym you’ll never need. (Ugh.)

The most active of them all isn’t him,
Or any of these .
That moniker belongs to the rollickin’ 
Grand Elder Kyruggi.

She led us through the war with bravery and spirit,
Never wavering or flinching,
Waving that legend’ry club—oh, they feared it
When the invaders’ ears she was cinching.

These six together deserve our endless hype
Not just on Victory Day.
So paint Tyrammet with a colourful stripe—
And remember their best, today.

The Elusive Ransaurus

Three Neopians of Tyrannian descent
Made a small fire, their bodies were spent.
Their language was rough and so were their features,
And they told tall tales of terrible creatures.

The Ransaurus made the first “grunt” of their break
As they rested their legs and waited on steak.
It was an elusive, tall and dangerous beast,
And it had terrible claws with razor sharp teeth.

I’ve never seen one the youngest one said,
But it came out in Tyrannian as “Ugga Ugh-Ed!”
I thought it was gentle and not very mean.
And ate not meat, but plants that were green.

Not true said the Kacheek with a scar across his face,
They eat lots of meat at a very quick pace!
They make loud noise as they plow through the lands
And they will eat up everything, even Neopians!

I’ve heard worse said the old hunchbacked Hissi
Whose demeanour was gruff and not at all prissy.
I swear on my tooth, I’ll tell you no lies,
They’re not very friendly, they have fire in their eyes!

They can come out of nowhere with a thundering “Yulp!”
And will eat a whole village in one giant gulp!
The fire in their breath can melt even stone,
And the spikes on their back can precisely be thrown.

The Scorchio pondered, it felt not quite right
That something so horrid could lurk in the night.
But whether it was real or whether it was fake,
He focused instead on eating his steak.

Now not far away, around the next cliff,
A Ransaurus was roaming with a predatory sniff.
It paused for a moment standing tall as a tower,
For it happened upon a beautiful flower.

The gentle lizard smiled and stretched its large toes,
But it froze when it noticed those Neopian foes.
What were they grunting about, it could not say,
But nothing was more scary, so it ran far away.

What to do in Tyrannia?

In Tyrannia, there's much to do,
So let me give some tips to you.
From shopping to games and food so great,
Your time in this land will never be late.

Starting at ten, there's the Wheel of Monotony,
But staring for hours may not be so phony.
Then there's the Lair of the Beast to explore,
But beware, for there may be much more.

At the Town Hall, you'll hear speeches so grand,
And learn strategies to protect the land.
The Arena's the perfect place to train,
With weapons to buy, you'll feel no pain.

Shopping's a must, with so many stores,
Furniture, Petpets, and weapons galore.
Just learn the language, "Ugg", "Ugga", and "Acka!",
Then you'll be a true Tyrannian mocker.

The Giant Omelette gives food for free,
But Sabre-X won't like it if you take three.
Cave Paintings offer a way to unwind,
But be careful not to get in a bind.

Games abound, like Pterattack and more,
Mini Golf was started by pets who were bored.
Tyrammet Village has celebrations ongoing,
After their victory over the Monoceraptor's loathing.

At the Concert Hall, the music is sweet,
With Skalpo the Techo, a ticket to meet.
The crowds can number up to forty thousand,
But the experience and souvenirs are worth the surrounding.

So go to Tyrannia, and have some fun,
With so much to do, you'll never be done.
Celebrate Victory Day with all your might,
And make memories that will last through the night.

A Celebration and Reminder

On May the twelfth we commemorate
The victory won when we held sway
Over the Monoceraptor's attack
And with determination, beat him back

If you don't recall the history
It took place way back in Year 3
The world had just found Tyrannia again
After being cut off since who knows when

An earthquake struck and buried the land
And it was by another earthquake's hand
That a tunnel opened near the Ice Caves
And by that path we all were saved

For adventurers came from far and wide
To explore the tunnel and walk in stride
And so were present by coincidence
To fight alongside the residents

Banding together our strength as one
Tyrannia could not be overrun
By the invading forces although they tried
With waves of challengers on their side

Over many weeks the battle raged
Until the final monster took the stage
A brave Lupe with great courage and merit
Defeated the Monoceraptor with spirit

The victory was well-earned by all
But before the end, there was a call
A future threat was softly promised
The words predicted something ominous

To this day, we stay in readiness
Thus we were prepared when we saw the Obelisk
The army was sent with haste and speed
To determine how great was the need

History shows the army broke up into factions
An unfortunate and somewhat shameful reaction
When they realized that treasure might be found
And with no sight of the Monoceraptor around

Hopefully we learned from that mistake
For next time our lives may be at stake
Whoever threatened us years ago
May return to claim what they once did forgo

Tyrannian Victory Celebration

Why do they celebrate?
Commemorate this very date?
Long ago, in year three,
A prehistoric place was discovered with glee,

A giant Chomby led the way,
But happy we did not stay,
The coming of war was swift,
The people felt a solemn shift.

Enemies came with every wave,
Fighters battled, so very brave,
The Tyrannian Army kept them at bay,
Until that final day,

Then came a monster so large,
The one who had lead this awful charge,
Many tried to defeat him,
The chance of victory looked slim,

Then came a single Lupe,
Who felled the monster in one swoop,
Tyrannia was saved from invasion,
So we created this occasion,

Today is the day we cheer,
For Tyrannia is no longer in fear,
So be sure to celebrate and say,
Happy Tyrannian Victory Day!

Only the strong will endure and survive,
As metal collides, in a fierce drive,

A Poem for the Tyrannian Victory Day Stamp

Is a stamp that celebrates;
A historic day of rampage,
This stamp commemorates.

In position seventeen,
It shows a friendly Mynci.
A sign can be seen,
A victory day, so happy!

On this day, long ago,
Tyrannia was set free.

Restock it at the post office,
For just 5,000 Neopoints!

Ugg Ugga Gah (Tyrannian Victory Ballad)

Aka bo Neopia soka ugga,
Booga gal nah bo,
Grugga gal ugga gah. 
( The ground parted in a mighty tremble, 
The denizens of Neopia discovered our land.
It was a day both great and terrible,
For twas the day the invasion was planned. )

Ugg Myncha ugga go,
Bogh gal nakka grogga.
Nah ugg bah bo gal,
Uggh booga grogga ugga.
( Brave Myncha sensed a disturbance afoot,
The ground shook again in a peculiar sway.
This was no earthquake, he quickly surmised,
But an army of invaders from far away. )

Grarrg ugg ugga bah-no,
Aka fyar Tyrannian ugg Neopian ga,
Grogga ugg bah aka-de,
Ugga dah uggh ba.
( Our troops assembled behind mighty Grarrg,
Native Tyrannians and Neopian volunteers alike.
They gathered their weapons and readied their hearts,
For the light of dawn to signal their first strike. )

Aka dah no bah uggh,
Soka booga ugga gah.
Uggh fyar grugga Monoceraptor.
Tyrannia grogga Lupe ugga.
( Our foes were mighty in number and strength,
It was all we could do to stave off the tide,
All seemed hopeless when the Monoceraptor arrived, 
Til he was felled by a Lupe, Tyrannia's pride. )

Gal-aka ugga bo nah,
Grogga soka grurg ugg,
Aka-ugh aka nah fyar.
Bah Tyrannia nah uggh!
( Never forget the courage of our elders,
And the loyalty of our allies in the fray.
Many hearts beating in time as one,
Were what won Tyrannia the day! )

Tyrannia Rocks

While laying around in Tyrannia,
Looking at the clouds,
Right above the sky,
A light open the paths,

It’s something very shiny,
Falling down to its victory,
A meteor was found in Tyrannia -
Plateau right on the corner of a rock,

A famous Rock known as a Petpet,
It was found, right when I thought,
We had won, a tourney has begun,
Rocks on Tyranu Evavu make you loose,

Doesn’t matter what colour,
Flavour you choose -
All these rocks are very cool,
Colourful rocks all over the place,
A wonderful Rock has choose you!

Home to one of the most ancient civilizations around,
If you visit there's quite a lot to be found,
Tyrannia is full of fun adventures and things to do,
Lines to visit are long so hurry and get in queue!

You'll find many things to do in the plateau, 
Stop by the giant omelette but remember to only take one piece as that's the status quo,
If you spin the wheel the monotony I hope you have some time to spare,
There are some cool prizes but you'll be waiting a while to be fair!

Stop by the concert hall if you like a good tune,
Being able to hear these exclusive bands is quite a boon,
Arrive by the jungle and you can pick up some furniture that's old but still in style,
With Tyrannian durability you know it'll last a while!

There's so much to do in this fun land that's rich with history,
Why you haven't come sooner is the only mystery,
Make sure when you visit you a lot of time on your hands,
After you see whats available here you'll have a lot of plans!

The Giant Omelette

There are many attractions, 
In every corner of Neopia. 
But one of the most popular ones, 
Can be found in Tyrannia. 

In the middle of the plateau,
Under the blazing summer heat,
Sits the famous Giant Omelette,
Which is free for all to eat.

No one knows how it came to be, 
But the rumours say a dinosaur, 
Laid a massive egg which split open, 
And was cooked by the burning hot floor. 

There are many flavours to choose from, 
Like the tomato, chocolate or juppie,
With all kinds of yummy toppings, 
Such as sausage, cheese, carrot and pea. 

Even though it is really delicious, 
Please do not be too greedy, 
And leave some for the others to try,
If you have taken your daily share already.

Tyrannia Day

Tyrannia is a land
That looks untouched by time
Prehistoric clothing, 
And words that mostly rhyme.

Tyrannia is idyllic,
Full of caves and peace,
Inhabitants might look like cavepets,
but they're all nice underneath.

Once though Tyrannia 
Was torn up by war
Battles raged and council fought
Because we know what war is good for.

The conflict, it was brutal
As befits a prehistoric land
An unknown villain brought out battles
With his invading band.

There were waves 
Of Korbat Scouts
And Grarrl Masters
Were about!

And the time it not known
If Tyrannian could win
They had plug and dedication,
But the margin would be slim.

Luckily today, we know
Tyrannia did come out on top
But who was the big bad villain
That they brought to a stop?

The truth is that 
We simply do not know
This was not a war that ended neatly,
Tied up in a pretty bow.

The villain today remains
Shrouded in mystery,
A threat hanging over
This land lost in history.

Today though Neopia is ready
To defend our prehistory friends
And no matter when the villain returns,
We all know how it ends!
